Abstract

The rapidly changing demographics in the United States of America and the increasing trend towards globalization have far-reaching implications for all sectors of our society. This presentation focuses on an on-going process of liberating citizens from cultural encapsulation to widen their cultural horizons through both the use of technology and personal intercultural exchanges. The program extends from P-12 school district that is largely racially and ethnically homogeneous to schools in nine different interactions among persons of different cultural persuasions and allows for a gradual immersion in intercultural tolerance so that interpersonal exchanges are
